I know its not Summer yet and I am here talking about bright colors. This blog post has been sitting in my drafts for a long time and I finally decided to share it with you all today.
Have you ever thought of what drives you the most into buying an outfit? Whether it’s the style, the material, the detailing or the color. Every person would have a different take on this. For me it would be the color. Most of the times when I am out shopping, I have 2-3 colors in my head that I look out for. Rest of the times its an impulse buy..lol!
Every color has a certain frequency and I love bright colors the most. Whether it’s fuchsia, mango, blood red or yellow-I love them all ! Bright colors raise my energy and instantly make me happy! This yellow dress was an impulse buy for me. The moment I saw it online I wanted it in my wardrobe. I love the feel of the dress which is very summery and feminine. The fabric is quite thick and comfortable to wear. This is more of a fun outfit with a scalloped neck line. Although yellow is a Summer color, I wouldn’t mind wearing this dress in Spring or on Easter. In fact I have been wearing it for the last few weeks. I paired this dress with my OTK boots and a short black coat to keep things simple.

Chartreuse has been one of my recent favorite colors from the brights palette. This casual look with a sweater top and black denims was shot during the St. Patricks Day weekend. I am wearing a smart watch from Misfit which has been added to my list of favorite watches. All the pictures in this look have been taken on my Iphone and I am quite happy with the results. It was one of those weekends when I was too lazy to carry my DSLR with me. To make things awesome, it was a bright sunny day which is very rare these days in Chicago. For a moment I thought I made a mistake by leaving my camera back home. But then I thought…Hey..wait a minute! Let me try taking pictures with my phone! And voila! I am happy the way the pictures have turned out without using a DSLR.

Are you inclined more towards pastels or bright colors? Do you have a bright outfit in your wardrobe? If yes, what color is it? Do you prefer taking pictures on a DSLR or a phone? Do tell me your thoughts in the comments below.

March 28, 2018 at 9:47 pmThis is such a gorgeous color on you. I tend to gravitate towards bright colors as well. As you know red is one of those colors and I was not sure about yellow until I tried it a few years ago and fell in love with the color http://www.nikkilivinglife.com/2017/02/20/the-girl-in-the-yellow-dress/
I adore the scallop details and love that you can wear this dress with a pair of boots, heels or sneakers. Thank you for brightening up my day babe.

March 29, 2018 at 8:32 pmOooh I looove this. You look so cute and spring-y! I am a sucker for yellow too, this is such a cute dress. I live the scalloped edges. Im more inclined toward pastels myself, and muted colors, but I do have a bright red dress from H&M that I take out on occasion.
