Today in my blog I will be speaking about my favorite baby care product: The Aveeno® Baby Wash & Shampoo.

Being a mommy does not just come with a sense of responsibility, but it also makes you extra cautious when selecting skincare products for your little one. When it comes to babies, you need to be careful with the products you are using. Infant skin may look flawless, however it is more sensitive and vulnerable than adult skin. Kyra has super sensitive skin and a few days back her facial skin got a little irritated. She had some redness on her face, and later on her neck, which made me worry a lot. I completely stopped using products I had been using on her skin before; this included her baby wash, body lotion and shampoo I had purchased just before my delivery and was carrying in my hospital bag. Since Kyra was born a few days before her due date we spontaneously purchased her baby wash without doing proper research. Her skin irritation has completely changed the way I look at things now, it has made me become more responsible as a parent.
I believe every baby is different, so I started reading baby care blogs and doing a lot of research to find the right baby wash for Kyra. I was looking for something with baby-safe ingredients, decided to ask fellow mommas around, and the majority of them recommended Aveeno® Baby. I decided to give Aveeno® Baby a try (going with the majority), and placed an online order from Dollar General. You can also get this at your local retailer. I placed my order in the Dollar General App and it was delivered in about 3 days which was pretty quick considering the current unprecedented times. Please note, due to the new look of Aveeno® Baby the packaging you see in store may vary.

Aveeno® Baby wash is hypoallergenic, paraben-free and phthalate-free and contains oat extract that provides a soothing effect while gently nourishing delicate skin. I love how light and gentle it is on the skin and keeps it hydrated and clean. One feature that I absolutely love is that it is tear and soap free and does not have an overpowering scent. After I started using the baby wash, Kyra’s skin started clearing up in a few days. It took about 2 weeks for the irritation to vanish completely. The combination of oat extract and glycerin helped calm Kyra’s skin while keeping it moisturized and I continued using it even after the irritation was gone. I will be ordering a second bottle soon.

I am thankful to all the momma’s who recommended Aveeno® Baby. Aveeno® Baby is now our go-to body wash and our favorite skincare brand. I recommend it for babies experiencing skin irritation and sensitive skin. I hope you guys liked this post. If you have any questions do share them in the comments below.
